Spiritual Beings of the UnderRealm

etheric energy and giants represent the earth's core, the structure of the earth, and
earth changes like volcanoes and tsunamis. Mermaids and mermen are spiritual
guardians of oceans and lakes, hidden and deep worlds of water. They are also
guardians to the animals and plants that live in bodies of water. The UnderRealm is
also the home of the dead or ancestor spirits, spiritual guides to people, buried
beneath the earth. Gods and goddesses of ancient civilizations like Celtic and Greek

religion, are also part of the UnderRealm.
Ancestors are equivalent to deceased loved ones from either this life time or another
life time. In ancient times, shamins believed that when people died their souls
transitioned to the UnderRealm. Many shamanic cultures reach out to their ancestors
in spirit form for spiritual guidance. People who are new to the idea of seeking
spiritual guidance from spiritual beings often gravitate first to the idea that spiritual
guidance comes from a deceased loved one or ancestor. People often confuse
deceased loved ones with angels but they are not the same. Rulers of the spiritual
world of the dead were gods like Hades. Nudd is the ancient British diety of the
UnderRealm.
Some of the beings of the UnderRealm bridge the UnderRealm with other spiritual
realms. Mermaids with their scaly tails for swimming in water and upper bodies like
humans bridge the Underworld and the MiddleRealm. Dragons are a hybrid of the
UnderRealm and MiddleRealm with a long serpent tail and either bat,or butterfly wings.
Merangels with serpent tails, human bodies and angel wings, bridge all three worlds.
An animal in nature which connects us with the UnderRealm is the seahorse. The
seahorse lives underwater and has a tail like a dragon and similar to that of a
mermaid except for the fins.
Plants which connect us with the UnderRealm are fungi. If in the forest you happen
across a circle of mushrooms in a grassy area you have discovered a fairy ring, a
marking of underground growth of the vegetative part of the fungus. This part of the
plant, called mycelium, is vital to the decomposition and breaking up of plant material
to form the organic part of soil and to release carbon dioxide back into the
atmosphere. Mycelium and their corresponding fungus can also be found on dying
trees.
On your next hike in the woods, look for fungus which looks similar to the bracket or
shelf fungi depicted to the right. Place your hand gently on the fungi and tune in
spiritually. Sense the energies of the plant, the decomposition beneath and the
Underworld. Make a note of how these energies are different from angel and fairy
energies.
If you go through a phase of several months where you feel dead, listless, lifeless,
without any creative energy, you are preparing to connect to the UnderRealm. This
period allows the old to die and creates space for new energy in your life. After
passing through a phase of no life, expect your patterns, life work, and habits to
change in ways that you did not expect.
